Stars in their Eyes team boost Ayley and Chloe campaign

A fund-raising campaign in aid of Angus twins Ayley and Chloe Hirsch has received a fantastic cash boost.

Generous members of the Dundee-based Stars in their Eyes production team handed over £2500 to the worthwhile cause.

The team, all of whom work for either Dundee or Angus council, raised the money through a show they laid on in the Caird Hall in May.

Each year the team donate money to charity, although this is the first time they have handed cash over to a single family.

Even more incredibly, the organisation says that it has decided to raise money solely for the Hirsch family's worthwhile cause for a whole year.

The twin sisters suffer from cerebral palsy and will travel to Missouri in the USA to undergo a life-changing operation to remove the spasticity in their limbs.

The fund-raising campaign spearheaded by their parents, Averil Fleming and Fraser Hirsch, has already raised over £70,000 towards an £80,000 target for the trip.
