Former Angus minister the Rev Pauline Thomson
A former Angus minister has died at the age of 51.

The Rev Pauline Thomson was born in Falkirk in 1960, brought up in Bonnybridge and attended Denny High School.
Her working life began at Coylumbridge Hotel where she quickly became the head waitress running the dining room.
She then married her husband Jim, had her daughter Sarah and settled in Brechin where she became involved with the church and community.
After studying at Angus College in Arbroath, she moved on to do an honours degree in modern history at Dundee University.
Upon graduating, Rev Thomson went to work at Belmont Castle Care Home in Meigle where she cared for residents.
She was a member of the Gardner Memorial Church in Brechin as an elder, a Sunday school teacher and later as superintendant.
It was while at the Gardner with Rev Moira Herkes that she began to explore her sense of calling to the ministry and spent a year of inquiry at Brechin Cathedral.
In 2002, Rev Thomson was accepted as a candidate for ministry and began a three-year honours divinity degree at St Andrews University.
Alongside her degree, she undertook three church placements at Carnoustie Panbride, St Andrews and the Glens and Kirriemuir Old.
From there she went on to a 15-month probationary placement at Old and St Andrews Church in Montrose. She was then called to full-time ministry and was ordained and inducted at the Muckle Kirk in Peterhead in December 2006.
Rev Thomson died peacefully at home in Peterhead on February 3.
She is survived by her husband Jim, daughter Sarah, step-children Gary and Moira and three granddaughters.
