Introducing roadshow sampling

The best form of advertising for manufacturers is product sampling. If customers like a product then they will buy it again. Our roadshows offer a unique and cost effective way of making our readers YOUR customers across Tayside, Angus & Fife.

What are the advantages?

  • Free advertising within our newspapers in the form of a promotional advertisement with a picture of the product, logo, editorial on the product, and the venues we would sample at.
  • roadshow sampling

  • Your logo and business name on a display space of our roadshow unit, that would tour areas of high pedestrian traffic flow, most particularly major shopping centres and supermarkets throughout Tayside, Angus, Perth or Fife for anything from one day to one week or more.
  • Free professional staffing on the mobile unit, wearing promotional t-shirts/sweatshirts etc (if provided) to create greater awareness of your product. Staff will also distribute any company leaflets or money-off coupons, if required.
  • The roadshow is available twelve months of the year, including the Christmas period, and can be tailored to meet any promotional requirements.
  • You can also sample your product through our street kiosks. These are very noticeable and situated in high footfall areas, giving you the opportunity to sample your product in multiple locations in a concentrated area for maximum results.

Remember: our roadshows and vendors can help you achieve big results at no cost other than the product itself!

How does it work?

The general rule is 5000 of a product will last a week with our roadshow or our vendors. Therefore 1000 products are worth one day, 10,000 are worth two weeks or can be split across the two titles for one week.

The sponsor supplies and delivers the product to DC Thomson Kingsway Office at no charge. Each unit of the product must be worth more than 40p.

The product is then distributed with The Courier or The Evening Telegraph or both depending on the sponsor's preference.
