Dunfermline gives a window into the world of art
Art in Shop Windows, running until August 15, showcases the work of artists from Contemporary Arts Dunfermline (CAD).

The public can come across displays while the group — which has around 60 members — has gallery space in a vacant shop in the Kingsgate Centre.
Hundreds of people have visited the temporary gallery and many others have been on the art trail seeing the work on display, which has helped transform a number of unused shop fronts in the town centre.
The project, which has involved Fife Council's Development Services and artists from CAD, is also funded through the Celebrating Fife 2010 year-long programme of events.
Members of the public can visit the gallery, located in the former Adams store, to view work and meet the artists between 10am and 4pm every day except Wednesday
A series of workshops have also been running in Abbot House.
An Art Trail leaflet includes a map and information on the displays will be available from the gallery space, as well as various community venues.
Development Services economic adviser Andrew Walker said, "The artists have had a great response to their works of art and the gallery space is drawing in crowds. Culture has a unique ability to lift people and places and we are pleased this is being achieved through the initiative."
CAD spokeswoman Mary Johnston said the group was approached by Andrew to take part in the project and they were pleased to become involved.
It began last month with a series of painted and decorated mannequins appearing all over town and was followed by the Art in Shop Windows event.
"For us, as a group, it has been amazing," she said. "A lot of people come in who wouldn't go into a gallery and have a look around.
"There has been a lot of local interest — and we even had a group of German students in working in the art yard on Sunday," she said.

Gallery will continue to run until further notice. It has however moved to the ex 'gimme gizmo' store opposite (next to Debehams) Opening on a Thursday, Friday, Sat and Sun. People can still come along and be inspired by great art.

COntemporary Arts Dunfermline proved to be a great success in the Kingsgate Shopping Centre, they have since been offered yet another unit to continue exhibiting works of art to the public. You can find them on the Upper Mall in Unit 59 (Near Debenhams). The Exhibition will on until Dec 31st
