Young Polish footballers living in Dundee have predicted Slask Wroclaw will end Dundee United's European dream tonight.

Split loyalties — Tomasz, Jakub and Marek.

Tomasz Garbacz (27), Jakub Gabrych (28) and 20-year-old Marek Ciepacz, who all play for amateur team FC Polonia in the city, predict their countrymen will grab a 1-1 draw tonight, meaning United would crash out of Europe on aggregate, having lost the first leg in Poland 1-0.
All three are going to cheer on Slask, although Marek confessed his reasons weren't exactly nationalistic — revealing he wants them to beat the Terrors as he is a fervent Dundee FC fan.
Marek, who works with Strathmore Foods in Forfar said, "I am a Slask fan but I support FC Dundee over here, not Dundee United. I think it will be 1-1 tonight and United will go out."
Tomasz, a monumental mason with Middleton Memorials in Dundee, agreed with the scoreline prediction but said he was merely going to the game to give support to the Polish team.
"I'm not a great football supporter but if I was asked which SPL team I like it would be Dundee United."
Jakub, who works with QV Foods in Inchture, decided to kit himself out in United gear to wind up his countrymen. He, too, reckons the final aggregate score will end up in a 2-1 margin for Slask, although he isn't a fan.
"Obviously I want the Polish team to win but I'm not really a football supporter. I prefer playing it but I am going to the game."
Jakub admitted, though, it might not be wise to wear the United gear in the Slask Wroclaw end at Tannadice.

I’m shocked Polish fans have behaved since arriving; they seem to be causing disturbances all over the city! Groups of around 20/30 of Polish fans chanting in residential streets very late in the night. Two Police vans actually drove passed one of the gangs taking no action; are we expected to allow of this type of behaviour.

I was awoken around 1am Thursday morn by the Polish Fans chanting. I live on the Hawkhill and my friend also heard them from Blackness Ave. We both looked out of our windows to see a huge crowd on the Perth Rd. No Police in sight!!!!

It's reckoned many Poles have travelled many miles to see their team, some from as far as Blairgowrie and Errol. Those going along tonight are at least guaranteed an atmosphere, which will make a change.

I just saw over 50 polish fans give 3 cheers to 2 young Dundee United Supporters who said cheers to them in Polish. Photo after photo was taken and they praised them on how friendly and respectful they were. Great to have these folk over here having a blast and spending the cash but Good Luck DU!

At least its just chanting, not bottling, knifing, battering and murdering, which seems to accompany many crowds of young Scots nowadays sadly, many who struggle to speak coherent English / Scots let alone manage basic literacy like being able to read or write! Seems the Xenophobes are coming out!
