Hundreds of Halloween partygoers forced to evacuate during DUSA fire alarm
Dundee University Students' Association (DUSA) has promised a ''full investigation'' after a fire alarm forced more than 500 people to evacuate a party.

The alarm was triggered by a technical fault during a Halloween party at the DUSA building in Airlie Place.
The association said: ''In line with our safety protocols we commenced a full evacuation of the building. In this case the fire brigade are automatically notified and respond with an emergency call-out.
''After they had arrived and completed a 40-minute compulsory safety check, the fire brigade declared the building safe and we reopened.''
More than 500 students and guests were inside when the alarm sounded and several hundred more arrived while firefighters were carrying out their checks.
DUSA said this had led to ''lengthy and unavoidable queues'' at the front door.
''Our customer safety and events teams worked extremely hard to bring the queue under control and ensure our members and their guests were admitted to the building in a safe and timely manner,'' it added.
''While we understand this may have caused frustration for our patrons, on this occasion safety was paramount.
''As with any significant incident at DUSA, we are in the process of conducting a full investigation into the matter.
''This is to ensure we continue to provide the very best experience for our members and their guests and remain the safest student venue in Scotland.''
