Nando's applies to open restaurant in Dundee
Portuguese restaurant chain Nando's wants to open in Dundee city centre, in a move that would create 30 jobs.

It would replace the former Pizza Hut, which occupied the Nethergate site. The restaurant, known for its piri-piri chicken, could open before summer.
A spokesman for Nando's said: ''We hope to gain full permission in early 2012 and, if all goes well, the site will be finished and ready by May or June 2012.''
Derek Little, chairman of DD One, a group which represents traders and promotes economic development in Dundee City Centre, welcomed the application.
He said: ''It would be marvellous if we could have a Nando's restaurant. There are quite a few big empty units in the area and the fact it looks quite run down can put developers off.
''It's great that a business is looking at Dundee with new eyes and seeing that to set up here would be a positive move.
''They are brave enough not to be put off by rental rates and are hoping to develop here as soon as possible.''

Great news for the city, its amazing how many new cafes/restuarants are opening or have recently opened in the city. It appears the hospitality sector must have alot of confidence in the Dundee market. Long may this continue!
