Travellers clear off but don't clear up

What appears to be a child's graffiti has been scrawled down the west side of the disused Aviva building and large sections of cladding have been torn from the walls.
Leaflets advertising driveway services have been strewn all over the car park where around 20 caravans and a number of other vehicles had been parked since last week.
Scores of black bags full of rubbish have been left lying around the hedged areas of the site, with cans, pizza boxes, shoes and other clothing strewn across the ground.
Large sections of the grass have been heat scorched and several bin liners were left full of acorns that had been collected.
An eviction notice from solicitors Maclay, Murray and Spens was fixed to a private property sign on behalf of owners Aviva.
The letter gave the travellers 24 hours' notice to leave the site before court proceedings began.
Although enough debris has been left behind to fill two or three large skips, Dundee City Council confirmed that as the mess is on private property they are under no obligation to mount a clear-up operation.
It appears the group moved out quickly, with other items left behind including a half-full gas bottle, a working pressure washer and mobile phone.
Previous camps at Dunsinane, Stannergate, Riverside Drive and Birkhill have been left in a similar condition over the last few weeks.
