All six — five children under 10 and a woman — were taken to Ninewells Hospital following Sunday's crash on the A92.
It is believed the young friends were on their way home from a children's party in Fife at the time.
A nine-year-old boy is in intensive care and two other boys are still receiving treatment in hospital.
The Courier understands that the two other pupils involved in the crash have returned to their classes.
Fellow pupils at the Dundee High primary department have been compiling get-well messages.
The school said on Tuesday, "We can confirm that High School pupils were involved in the accident on the A92 on Sunday.
"Our thoughts are with those involved and their families," it added. "We wish them all the best for their recovery."
The school's spokeswoman declined to give an indication of the severity of their injuries.
The accident happened south of the Tay Road Bridge, between the Forgan and Five Roads roundabouts, shortly before 1pm.
Ms Grant was travelling in a Renault hatchback. Following the crash the Renault tumbled about six metres down an embankment by the side of the road.
Fire crews took over an hour to free her from the wreckage using cutting equipment.
She was airlifted to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, but later died.
The Volvo, which came to rest on its roof on the A92, was badly damaged at the front.
However the passenger compartment appeared to be intact despite the force of the impact.
Police appeal
An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Fife Police in connection with the accident.
Chief Inspector David McCulloch, head of road policing, said that as well as witnesses to the collision, the force is keen to hear from anyone who can comment on driver behaviour in relation to either vehicle before the crash.
The Volvo was travelling north from Kirkcaldy to Dundee and the light-coloured Clio was travelling south.
Anyone with information should contact Fife Constabulary on 0845 600 5702.
Meanwhile, a Tay Bridgehead councillor called on upgrading work to a one-mile stretch of carriageway between the Forgan Roundabout and Tay Road Bridge to go ahead.
Ron Caird (Conservative) made the comment after learning of an accident on the road on Monday afternoon, when three cars were involved in a collision, resulting in one of them knocking down a power line between the Rathillet and Luthrie junction.
No one was seriously injured. Only one driver was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment to his shoulder.

The recent spate of acccidents on the A92 will come as no suprise to regular commuters who witness on a daily basis drivers taking risks by overtaking into oncoming traffic, on bends, junctions and blind hills / clearly marked hidden dips. In fact it is miraculous that there are not more accidents.
