The St Clement's Primary pupil was said by her mum Lisa to be in good spirits and smiling as she began her recovery at her gran Irene's house in Dryburgh.
Rhianna had hundreds of stitches in her face, neck, arms and legs, and to re-attach part of her left ear, which Lisa (30) said was almost bitten off.
"She's still kind of adjusting. She's quite shy and nervous about seeing people," she said. "A few of her friends have come round and we've had a few family members visiting as well.
"She's a lot happier now that she's home. We brought her to my mum's house because there are a lot more people to look after her."
Lisa said Rhianna was a bit reluctant to speak about her ordeal on August 29 and doesn't know the full extent of her injuries as her arms and legs are still bandaged.
However, she revealed Rhianna has not been completely put off dogs, and was woken yesterday by their pet Yorkshire terrier, Casper.
"She loves him. She was asking about him when she was in hospital and he was on her bed this morning waking her up.
"My brother's got a black Labrador and she's fine with other dogs she knows but obviously she's scared of strange dogs.
"She talked about it at first but not really now. She might do once she's more settled, though.
"The doctors said they hadn't found any nerve damage in her face and said it might just take a while.
"It could take up to 18 months to get the full movement back in her face."
Rhianna was attacked by the two dogs as she cycled from her father Neil Kidd's car the short distance to her grandmother's house in Dryburgh Street. The dogs pulled her off her bike and bit her causing severe injuries to her arms, legs, face and neck. Her jaw was broken in two places.
A 33-year-old woman has been charged under the Dangerous Dogs Act and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Two dogs and a puppy were destroyed the day after the attack with the owner's permission.
