Husband of hospital fall woman putting faith in thorough investigation
The grieving husband of a Fife woman who fell to her death from a window at Queen Margaret Hospital is confident an investigation will establish the facts that led to the tragedy.

Josephine Mowat, from Cardenden, died after falling from a window at the hospital on November 17.
Speaking to The Courier, her husband Alf said that although he, the Mowat family, their friends and former colleagues are ''still in shock and disbelief'', they are sure the investigation by Fife Police and the procurator fiscal will establish the factors that resulted in Josephine's death.
''We are not concerned about how long the investigation takes, but rather are concerned only about the establishment of the facts and the outcome of the investigation,'' he said.
Mr Mowat, who returned to live in Fife with his wife some years ago, said he is sure the public, and not just the family and those closest to Josephine, will be ''more than interested'' in the outcome of police inquiries.
Mrs Mowat, who was 61, was recuperating from an operation in the Dunfermline hospital at the time.
Mr Mowat said: ''Lovely Josephine was delighted with the success of her operation and was looking forward to coming home within a few days of moving from the high dependency unit to a general ward.''
Mrs Mowat, who was well-known in the greyhound racing world, was in a single bed room of ward 19, a general surgical ward. The tragedy happened at around 1pm and, despite the best efforts of the resuscitation team that was on the scene immediately, she died around two hours later.
Mr Mowat added that since the loss of the person the family called a ''unique and very precious woman'', he has been overwhelmed by the kindness of the local community.
He told The Courier: ''I would like to add my thanks to the fine people of Cardenden who have afforded me the most wonderful support since the tragedy.
A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal in the aftermath of the tragedy.
A Fife Police spokesman said: 'Inquiries are still ongoing into the death of Mrs Mowat and police are still keeping an open mind as to how this incident came about.''
