Fife Council has confirmed that the closure of City Road, which was due to start on Sunday and last until February 19, has been put back as problems with drainage on the road need to be rectified before the planned resurfacing of the roundabout can take place.
Meanwhile, the temporary closure of North Street from Golf Place to Greyfriars, previously planned to start today, started a day early as part of carriageway improvements from City Road to North Castle Street which will take up to six weeks to complete.
A signed diversion is in place via City Road, Largo Road and Lamond Drive.
All businesses will remain open as usual during the work.
Parking restrictions have also been put in place on North Street to allow resurfacing of the carriageway to be completed.
