Angling club close to deal on Craigluscar Reservoir
A west Fife angling club is in negotiations that could see it bid to buy the reservoir Dunfermline.

The Dunfermline Artisan Angling Club is one step closer in its bid to buy the Craigluscar Reservoir, car park and access road for its members.
It has been negotiating with Scottish Water on the purchase since 2006.
Funds had been raised, but plans were put on hold when it was discovered an error in 2001 by the Registers of Scotland assigned the access road rights to a local farm.
After being approached by the angling club, Dunfermline East MSP Helen Eadie and Mid-Scotland and Fife MSP John Park made representations to support the campaign and resolve the dispute regarding the rights to the access road.
Mrs Eadie expressed her delight at the club's progress.
"This is exceptionally good news for the club," she said.
"They have been very patient for a number of years waiting for this problem to be sorted out and they will be very relieved that it has finally been resolved.
"This means that their plans to purchase the reservoir can get back on track."
Mr Park added, "This is really positive news. The Craigluscar Reservoir is a precious place for the local community and I am delighted it now looks like it will be protected for angling in the future.
"The reservoir has been home to the Dunfermline Artisan Angling Club for decades, and I know just how hard their members have fought for this."
Councillor Bobby Clelland said, "This is great news for the local community and the fishing club and highlights the important connection of local Labour politicians with their local communities."
A spokesman for the angling club said, "We are still in negotiations so I don't want to say too much until they are concluded.
"I believe that we are the first or second angling club, certainly the first in Fife, to try to buy a reservoir."
Craigluscar Reservoir is located a couple of miles north of Dunfermline, just off the A823. It is currently leased and run by the Dunfermline Artisan Angling Club.
