VisitScotland and the SNP Government should be doing more to promote Perthshire's tourism industry, a local MSP has claimed.
Mid-Scotland and Fife Tory MSP Murdo Fraser believes neither organisation is placing enough focus on the area, which relies heavily on tourism to support the local economy.
The dualling of the A9 between Perth and Inverness would also help Perthshire's cause, he insisted.
Mr Fraser explained, "In Perthshire, tourism is by far the largest employer and if we are to see a strong economy in rural areas then we do have to ensure growth in tourism."
