Ian Glassford from Motherwell was fishing at Butterstone Loch, near Dunkeld, earlier this month when he felt a hefty tug on his line.

After a bit of a tussle, he landed a magnificent 22lb rainbow trout — the largest witnessed at the loch since records began in 1970.

Mr Glassford handed the prize-winning fish over to the estate so a cast could be made, which will be given pride of place in the estate's new cafe.

He was awarded a free day of angling as a reward.
