The Honeypot Cafe in Fleshers Vennel has fallen victim to financial hardship and is expected to shut in the next couple of weeks.
It has been widely used by parents who could enjoy a cuppa and something to eat — or could have their children's hair cut at the hairdresser's inside the cafe.
Owner Karen Thompson told The Courier recent times have proved tough for the business.
''I will be speaking to the landlord either today or tomorrow, but it will be closing in a couple of weeks,'' she said.
''We've done our best to keep afloat in the last year, but we just can't do it any more. It is with much sadness that we will be gone in the next few weeks.''
A mother of three who regularly used the cafe said she was ''disappointed'' and added: ''There was nowhere really like it in Perth.''

If it's anything like the cafes in Dundee where parents seem to think they can hog the cafe with their brood for hours at a time for the price of a coffee, the owner has my sympathy.
