The 25th Stirling (Dunblane) Boys' Brigade hit the town in force with shovels to shift snow and backpacks for shopping.
After consulting local churches about who was most in need, the boys visited over 60 households to clear snow from drives and pathways, run errands to shops for essential food, deliver prescriptions, post letters and offer a smiling face at a stressful time.
They also answered a short-notice call to help dig out paths at Hanover Court sheltered housing, where carers and doctors could not otherwise have reached residents. School friends and parents also turned out to lend a hand.
Brigade captain Paul Christmas, said, "We were incredibly proud of the boys for turning out in great numbers at really short notice when they could have been sledging or being inside.
"To have 28 boys and their friends and parents involved was fantastic."
