At just 17, Jodie Chalk will be the lone female taking part in the Thundersport GB Superstock 600 Championship and showed off her new race bike for the 2011 season at Knockhill on Friday.

Jodie, from Glenrothes, will be racing aboard a Triumph 675 previously ridden by seven times Superbike champion John MacDonald and is putting the finishing touches to preparations for her first race at Mallory Park on March 11-13, which will be televised on Motors TV.

She will also be taking part in a selection of Scottish rounds and the Melville 600 Superstocks.

Having only been racing since the age of 14, Jodie has shown in many ways that she is more than capable of achieving her dream, and breaking into the Moto GP to race with some of her idols merely demonstrates that.

She will also take part in the support race for the World Superbikes at Donington on March 27.
