The Perthshire Olympian and four-time junior world champion was unbeaten in the Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic — winning an impressive seven out of seven matches.
The 21-year-old put together a new young team in the summer and the 32-team event was only their third together.
She was runner-up at the MNP Classic last year but this time around went one better by defeating Canadian Crystal Webster 6-3 in the final, having defeated Japanese and Russian rinks in the quarters and semis respectively.
It's the first time a Scottish ladies team has won a World Curling Tour event in Canada.
Muirhead said: ''We had really good weekend. In the final we played really solid, probably our best game and built the ends really well.
''The competition was very tough, with three international teams and the usual high quality Canadians, so it was a great one to win.''
Webster, who was unbeaten herself going into Monday night's final, admitted that the better team won.
She said: ''They played really, really well for sure.''
Muirhead and her team-mates Anna Sloan, Vicki Adams and Claire Hamilton competed in back-to-back events in Canada, having started their season in Norway, and next onthe calendar is the European play-offs at the Dewar's Centre in Perth.
- There will be more on Muirhead's Canadian triumph in her Courier column, Breaking the Ice, on Friday.
