A book celebrating the life of one of Scotland’s most talented sculptors has been given its homecoming.
Angus sculptor William Lamb (1893-1951) was among a generation of First World War artists who never escaped the horrors of war.
Settling in Montrose after a career in sculpture and painting across Europe, Lamb’s fame diminished to the borders of Angus, which has always heralded him as one of its greatest gifts to the world of art.
Taylor’s Auction Rooms in Montrose welcomes visitors to an event based on The People’s Sculptor, The Life and Art of William Lamb, by John Stansfeld.
It followed an event at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh on September 26, and is expected to attract around 200 people.
