‘She will be a great loss’ tributes to Angus nurse after sudden death
ByThe Courier Reporter
A much-loved and “fabulous” Angus nurse has died suddenly aged 42.
Ashley Moffat from Monifieth passed away at Ninewells Hospital this week.
Ashley, who worked as a senior staff nurse with NHS Tayside in Perth, was a mum and stepmum to four children Logan, Kier, Sarah and Lucy.
She has also been described as a “beloved” partner of Richard and a “dearly-loved” daughter of Vivian and Alan, and a loving sister and aunt.
Barbara Wilson, NHS Tayside regional service manager for secure care, said: “Ashley was a tremendous individual whose vibrant and cheery personality brightened up many a situation and brought a sense of perspective to the somewhat difficult job we do.
“She was a true advocate for her patients, highly-skilled and experienced and she helped most in her care reach a potential that they didn’t realise they had. She will be a great loss.”
Her funeral will be held at Dundee Crematorium on Thursday, October 23, at 11am.
Ashley’s family are welcoming donations to the British Heart Foundation and the intensive care unit at Ninewells Hospital.
In addition, they have asked those attending Ashley’s funeral to wear bright colours or something pink.
