Youngsters’ summer holiday fun continued yesterday with Broughty Ferry Gala Week.

Enthusiasm was at a high as more than 100 turned out for the pavement artists’ competition, sponsored by Eduardo Alessandro Studios.

More than 250 children turned out for the sand sculpture competition, forming almost 200 teams. But there could only be a few winners.

The weather could have been better, but didn’t dampen the spirits as children worked away on artistic projects.

The Broughty Ferry Gala Week continues until Sunday.

*Winners of the pavement art competition were divided by age.

Age three Noah Milne came in first. Eloise McDonald came second and Aydin Iridag third.

Age four Lily Milne triumphed, while Alastair Laidlaw was second and Frederick Haeg third.

Age five Holly Cattrell claimed the top spot, Lara Alexander took second and Malysa McGregor third.

Age six Clara McDonald was the victor, Abbie Henderson and Kirsty Nicoll came second and third respectively.

Age seven Ellie Smith attained the top spot, with Maia Sleeman and Noah-Jhon Charlett-Blyth second and third respectively.
