Man found running in his underpants sparks security alert at Apex Hotel

Police had to call a man’s parents after he was found running around outside the Apex Hotel in his underpants.
The bizarre incident saw police provide assistance to the 26-year old man, who is not believed to be from Dundee.
It is understood, however, that the man was not an athlete competing at the Commonwealth Games, some of whom are staying at the City Quay hotel ahead of the shooting event at Barry Buddon.
Officers spotted the man in his boxers at around 1.20pm on Sunday and looked after him while contacting his parents.
A spokesman for Police Scotland, Tayside Division, said: “Officers provided assistance to a 26-year-old man who was found outside the Apex Hotel in his underpants.
“His parents have been contacted and are collecting him.”
One eyewitness described the incident on Twitter as a “rough Sunday” for the man.
