Stephen Henderson jewellery raid: police release CCTV images of suspects

Police Scotland has released CCTV images of the two men who stole thousands of pounds of jewellery from a Dundee retailer earlier this month.

They robbed Stephen Henderson Jewellers in Union Street on February 6, leaving shocked staff in their wake as they made off with two diamond rings.

Officers investigating the theft hope that the images will help them track down the two men both believed to be from Liverpool who have so far escaped detection despite detailed descriptions.

The still images show a man who is around 5”11 and of athletic build, with blue eyes and light brown facial hair.

He is believed to be from Liverpool and at the time of the incident he was wearing a distinctive hat lined with fur, a grey and black striped top, an Adidas hooded gilet with light blue, grey and white panels on the front and back. He was also wearing navy Armani jeans and light blue trainers.

The second man is white, 5”8 and of a slim build with short dark-coloured hair and at the time of the incident was wearing a black hooded long sleeved top, light grey Adidas jogging bottoms with dark grey stripes, light coloured trainers and a dark coloured baseball cap.

The same men were seen earlier on the day of the robbery at jewellers in the centre of Aberdeen.

A Police Scotland spokesman said, “I would urge anyone who may have information regarding these individuals to come forward to assist us with our enquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.

Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
