Claverhouse Rotary Club are accepting entries for this year’s Dundee Cyclathon.

The event, on Sunday, September 14, starts and finishes at Camperdown Park following the city’s Green Circular Route.

Around 40 participants have already registered with entries from as far away as Hawick, Edinburgh and Shipley in West Yorkshire.

The first person to register this year was Kevin Scott of Broughty Ferry.

He said: “I entered this year’s event as I have seen the Cyclathon over the last three or four years and wished I could have taken part.

“So I am getting fit for this year’s Cyclathon and raising money for the British Heart Foundation at the same time”.

Cyclists of all ages and abilities can take part and can raise funds for Claverhouse Rotary Club’s nominated charity, Cash For Kids, or for their own charity or cause.

Entry forms and sponsor sheets can be obtained through www.rotaryclubofclaverhouse.co.uk or by contacting Ian Balgowan, the Cyclathon coordinator, on 07952 537249.
