Why is Dundee a Unesco City of Design? Let this video explain

Dundee’s reputation as a creative hub has never been higher.

After being pipped to the UK City of Culture title by Hull last year, the city has rebounded and was this week named a Unesco City of Design.

And while much of the city’s recent renaissance is credited to plans to open the V&A at Dundee in 2017, that is just the most obvious aspect of its burgeoning creative sector.

From video game design to the Duncan of Jordanstone Art College, Dundee has long been a hotbed of creativityl.

Creative Dundee has hosted Pecha Kucha nights in Dundee since 2011. Taken from the Japanese for “chit chat” Pecha Kucha nights features gusest speakers showing 20 images and speaking about each one for 20 seconds.
