Police searching for a missing Fife teenager are investigating a sighting of her in Stranraer.
Hazel North went missing on March 4 after she told her sister she was going to Kilmarnock to meet a friend.
It is believed she headed by bus from her home in Cairneyhill, Dunfermline to Ayrshire.
Officers are now investigating a sighting of the 19-year-old on Tuesday March 18 at around midday in Coronation Drive, Stranraer.
Hazel is thought to have been in the company of another woman and officers are keen for her to come forward and speak to them.
This woman is described as around 5 ft 8 inches, with a medium build and short dark hair in a bob style. She was wearing a dark coloured hooded top and dark blue jogging trousers.
Police have been searching a house in Northcraig Road, Kilmarnock, and officers have also been carrying out door-to-door enquiries in the area.
Extensive enquiries are also continuing in Dunfermline and police are reviewing CCTV images in an effort to find out more about her whereabouts.
Hazel is described as 5ft 8 inches in height and of slim build with a fair complexion. She has brown hair.
Hazel is originally from Dunfermline and has also lived in Stranraer.
Superintendent Neil Kerr said: “We are currently following a number of lines of inquiry, speaking to family and friends to ascertain more information about Hazel and as to where she may be.
“Her family is obviously concerned by the lack of contact from her and they just want to know she is safe and well.
“If anyone has any information which could help us locate Hazel, please do contact us.”
