The search for missing Newport woman Susan Reid continued on Friday, with police again concentrating on searches of gardens and outbuildings. Officers have been drafted in from outside Fife to help. Police said there had been no real progress but the search continued. Mrs Reid, 56, has not been seen or heard from since Tuesday January 21. Despite significant efforts in recent days to trace her, the librarian who works for Dundee University remains missing. Mrs Reid is described as being 5ft 7in, of slim build and having blonde and greying hair. Any member of the public who has seen her or has any other information is urged to get in touch with police.
