‘The last real Rolls-Royce’ to go under the hammer in Perthshire

The Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith will go under the hammer at Morris Leslie this weekend.

A car dubbed the “last real Rolls-Royce” is set to go under the hammer in Perthshire.

The Silver Wraith is expected to fetch around £40,000 when it is sold by Morris Leslie at Errol on Saturday.

The 1948 car was sold as a chassis, with the buyer sending it to a specialist coachworks business to be custom built.

It is often considered by many traditionalists to be “the last real Rolls-Royce”.

Also in the sale are a 1969 Morris Minor 1000 and an extremely rare Jaguar 420G with Willow Green coachwork.

One vehicle, a 1992 Renault 5 Campus, has just 202 recorded miles from new.

It had just one lady owner who only used it for a few days before it was involved in a minor car park altercation with a bollard at her local garden centre, after which she parked it up in her garage and gave up driving for good.
