Jim Sillars took his ‘Margo Mobile’ into deepest Fife on Friday, and plans to continue campaigning for a Yes vote throughout Courier Country over the weekend.
The former Labour MP and key SNP figure came out of retirement to campaign for a Yes vote.
Weather dampened the reception for Mr Sillar’s short but impassioned speech, perhaps a relief after Jim Murphy was egged in Kirkcaldy.
Mr Sillars said: “I think the momentum is definitely with Yes.
“The working class are the majority in this country and, if we unite, we cannot be defeated.
“I want to challenge Labour voters,” he said.
“How many more times will we vote Labour on the Thursday, and wake up on a Friday with a Tory government?”
Communities are the key to campaigning, he claims.
“This kind of event will have an influence on the campaign, we want to put the politics back into the streets of Scotland’s communities.”
