Fire crews were called out to Falkirk crematorium after a deer got stuck in railings outside the building.
The animal became trapped in the railings at Camelon Cemetery and Crematorium on Dorrator Road on Monday.
The Scottish SPCA contact Scottish Fire and Rescue to the incident and firefighters were able to free the trapped animal without it sustaining any serious injuries.
Animal rescue officer Lindsay Kerr said, “It must have been very uncomfortable for the deer to have ended up in this position.
“It’s possible he may have taken fright as he ran into the fence with force and became stuck.
“The fire officers were very quick to act and managed to free the deer in a matter of minutes. I then checked him over for injuries
“Thankfully the ordeal didn’t result in any cuts or bruises for the deer, although he did lose a lot of his fur trying to escape. I was told there are a group of deer who are often seen around the area and as soon as the deer was free he ran off to find his pals.”
