Coming up in Thursday’s Courier p-p-pick up a penguin

Cracking penguin news in Thursday’s Courier.

If you are a penguin fan you really wouldn’t want to read any other paper.

In fact I would go so far as to say that, if you like penguins, there probably isn’t another publication that can hold a candle to The Courier (in terms of penguin-based tales). And I don’t say that lightly.

Yes indeed, Thursday really does promise to be something of a dream ticket for penguin fans.

Allow me, with your indulgence, to explain the rationale behind my penguin-based confidence:

It’s like this a long lost Dundee penguin is back in its rightful home.

It really is that simple. But sometimes simplicity is equal to beauty. And this is one such occasion.

Just great, great stuff for penguin lovers.

In the unlikely event that penguins don’t float your boat, why not stick your beak into Thursday’s Courier for news of our biggest ever road trip? The Battle Bus has been given a stirring paint job and we are hitting the highway to find out what you think ahead of the independence referendum.

There are a staggering 90 stops on the tour and we will be visiting every corner of Courier Country. It’s all rather rock ‘n’ roll. The battle bus has even got a toilet. Bet the 1D boys don’t have that kind of luxury when they are on the road. Full details of all our destinations, and how you can get involved, in our latest rip-roaring edition.

And will a new set of Commonwealth emblems get your stamp of approval? Or will you be frankly disgusted? Find out in The Courier.

If you like wind turbines, or indeed hate them, you will (I predict) be fascinated by our tale of sky-based “UFO turbines” which could be heading Scotland’s way. A bold vision of the future or a horrendous dystopian nightmare? You can decide.

In sport, the imminent end of the football season is occupying thoughts and one Dundee player is in line for a major award, while another one would miss the play-offs should the Dark Blues not win the league title…

Meanwhile, there’s also another big Commonwealth Games team announcement, with four local swimmers making Team Scotland. News to make quite a splash (chortle).

A wide array of terrific tales will combine to create a quite sensational Thursday Courier. I appreciate you may not want to take my word for it at this stage so I really would advise you to pick up your copy. If you are unwilling to take the hint and buy print, they why not try our digital edition?
