Hundreds of people attended the event, including dignitaries from across Dundee, Angus and Perth and Kinross, including Dundee Lord Provost John Letford.

After the Mass, a reception was held in the Bonar Hall where Lindsay Ellis of the Tayside Police Pipe Band and the Fiddlers’ Dozen Accordion Band provided musical entertainment.
