CRAIG QUINN, also known as Findlay (34), Burnside Gardens, appeared in private before Sheriff Derek Pyle at Dundee yesterday on a petition alleging the murder of 47-year-old George McGowan at Ballantrae Gardens on April 5.

He also faces a charge of theft.

No plea or declaration was made. Solicitor George Donnelly made no motion for bail and the case was continued for further examination and the accused was remanded in custody.
