POLICE HAVE issued another appeal for witnesses in the wake of a fatal accident which occurred in the countryside near Balmullo on Tuesday afternoon. Yesterday morning the man who died in a forklift accident was named as Robert Graves (45), who lived at St Fort near Wormit. He was driving a forklift on the unclassified School Road to Brackmont Farm road, just to the east of Balmullo, when the accident took place around 2.10 pm on Tuesday. Only the forklift was involved. It is understood that Mr Graves was trapped beneath the vehicle. The road was closed for several hours after the accident while investigations took place and the scene was cleared. Anyone who was in the vicinity, or who may have seen a forklift travelling on the road, should contact 01592 251111. Mr Graves, who was married with a family, was employed by a local farming business. He had been working in the area shortly before the accident accident took place. |
