| The Courier has always been an important part of the community. It led the Fight For Fife and campaigned for the Tay Road Bridge. The Courier often throws its weight behind campaigns for local hospitals and services. It also runs a major annual debating competition for secondary schools. Published in 6 editions - Early edition, Fife, NE Fife, Perth, Angus and Dundee, it carries national, international and local news. The Courier delivers not only blanket coverage in Tayside and Fife as a whole, but high density coverage in the towns and communities within the area — coverage which emphasises how important a part of the infrastructure The Courier really is. It is much more than just a newspaper – it's a voice for the community. That community involvement led to The Courier being chosen as a vehicle for special supplements to highlight the work of Tayside Police and Scottish Enterprise Tayside.
