When Scotland’s Stephen Gallacher produced a potentially career-making shot to clinch a win in the Dunhill links championship on the Old Course at St Andrews in October, it was described as a dream come true. Yesterday the nephew of former European Tour champion Bernard Gallacher achieved another dream when he took to the skies courtesy of RAF Leuchars. The trip aboard a 111(F) Squadron Tornado was arranged as a ‘thank you’ for his support of the RAF Leuchars Disadvantaged Children’s Day, which takes place at the base on Wednesday, December 8.
