THE PERTH woman who died in a house fire early on Tuesday was Mrs Myrtle Hendry (65).

Fire crews and police had gone to the semi-detached bungalow in Oakbank Road but found her body in a bedroom. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no other occupants in the house at the time.

While the cause of the fire has yet to be established, early inquiries indicate no suspicious circumstances. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

It is thought Mrs Hendry was a widow with one daughter.
