FITNESS LEAGUE enthusiasts from the north east of Scotland are preparing to perform at the 75th birthday party of the organisation at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Saturday.

The group will perform their rendition of Sail Away and they put the finishing touches to their act on the deck of the Discovery in Dundee yesterday.

They will join hundreds of other Fitness League members from across the world to take part in a dance, movement and music spectacular.

The event will mark the formation of the UK’s earliest fitness for women groups, which began in 1930.

Known then as the Women’s League of Health and Beauty, the Fitness League has changed its image over the decades but continues to offer women’s fitness classes, supplying exercise to suit members of all ages.

Five members from Perth will take part in the show, along with teacher Catherine Wyse.
