THE 2004-05 Scottish Premierleague season came to a stunning climax yesterday on a weekend packed with football drama. Saturday had seen heartache for Dundee as they could only draw 1-1 with Livingston, confirming their drop to the first division. This prompted a meeting of top officials at Dens Park yesterday as the club faces up to the harsh financial realities of life outside the SPL. And yesterday Celtic had the title snatched from them in the cruellest fashion as they allowed a 1-0 lead against Motherwell to slip away, losing 2-1 to late goals and gifting the championship to Rangers, who beat Hibs 1-0. |
