KINROSS SHOW is to take place in the magnificent grounds of Kinross House on August 13, but it will be the end of 10 years’ involvement for show secretary Gay Deas. Yesterday, she met some of the youngest members of the agricultural community as preparations were made for the 175th event. Bruce Hamilton, president, said, “This year’s show will be Gay’s last before her retirement as secretary. “She has given 10 years of loyal and committed service to the Kinross-shire Agricultural Society and we will miss her terribly.” This year’s event will include the Pony Club’s games competitions, It’s A Knockout from the Kinross Young Farmers, the Blue Arrows motorbike display team and the Golden Lions parachuting into the ring. Todd and Duncan have sponsored the new art and craft tent, and there are many trade stands. |
