WRITER AND academic Germaine Greer will explore one of her great passions as she presents the Dundee University Discovery Lecture later this month.

Professor Greer’s lecture, which she will give at the university on June 25, is titled Regeneration, Rehabilitation or Restoration> The Challenging Rainforest.” Professor Greer has a strong interest in the rainforest of her home country, Australia, and has a deep knowledge of the issues facing it and similar landscapes around the world.

Professor Greer was born in Melbourne and educated in Australia and at Cambridge University. Her first book, The Female Eunuch, took the world by storm and remains one of the most influential texts of the feminist movement.

Professor Greer makes regular appearances as a broadcaster, journalist, columnist and reviewer.
