Balado event completely sold out

T IN THE PARK is now completely sold out after an extra 14,000 tickets were snapped up within a few hours of being released.

The additional tickets for the Balado event on July 10 and 11 takes the capacity to 69,000 music fans per day.

Already one of the most hotly anticipated events in music, original tickets were like gold dust and sold out in a record four days in February.

The capacity increase has been made possible by a revised site layout, which members of Perth and Kinross Council’s licensing committee unanimously gave the go-ahead to.

More than 120 artistes will perform across 10 stages.

Geoff Ellis, of festival organiser Big Day Out Ltd., commented, “T In The Park is now the fastest selling festival in the UK, second only to Glastonbury.

“It is a fantastic thing for Scotland that the event is so anticipated.

“Again, I’d like to reiterate that we strongly advise fans only to buy tickets from official ticket outlets and if they are unsuccessful the first time, to register on the website so that they will be the first to find out if new tickets become available. Buying from unofficial sources means that you risk not gaining entry to the event.

“This year’s event is shaping up to be one of the best, most diverse line-ups we’ve ever had and we can’t wait to see all 69,000 of you there in July.”
