PUPILS AT Strathkinness Primary School got the chance to show off their hard work to people from the village yesterday. The youngsters hosted an eco-afternoon to give everyone a chance to see the fruits of their hard work over the past year. The pupils at the school, which achieved green flag status a year ago, also got the chance to take part in some fun activities. The children also produced eco-art and enjoyed an eco-walk. A countryside ranger gave a talk and green fingered pupils also had a go at flower arranging. Their displays will now be put on show in the church in time for the end of term service. Shelia Goodwin, eco-co-ordinator said, “We couldn’t have asked for a better day. The weather was glorious and young and old alike turned out to enjoy the day. It was lovely.” |
