A WEST FIFE teenager appeared in private before Sheriff Colin McClory at Dunfermline yesterday, accused of a firearms offence.

Brian Richardson (17), of Navitie Park, Ballingry, is alleged to have been involved in an incident in Kelty on August 17.

The petition alleges that, while acting with another, he assaulted a man by presenting a loaded shot-gun at him with intent to rob.

Richardson made no plea or declaration during the brief appearance.

The case against him was continued for further examination and he was remanded in custody.
