GRAFFITI ARTISTS have been invited to make their mark on a Carse of Gowrie skate park.

Supported by their community, young people in Errol put a great deal of effort into fund-raising for the skate park, which was built at the back of Errol Park.

Well used by local skateboarders, it also attracts regular visitors from Perth, Scone and Invergowrie.

To add to its appeal, the young people applied for and received a grant from the Scottish Arts Council and Young Scot to take part in some art workshops.

Yesterday a workshop run by the Scuff graffiti artists gave them the chance to learn new skills in painting techniques and visual representation, and to work together to design artwork which suits their skate park.

Youth workers from Perth and Kinross Council’s education and children’s services provided support and guidance to the young people in their efforts to gain a skate park for Errol.
