Body in car found in harbour

POLICE CONFIRMED last night that a car with a body in it had been recovered from Wick Harbour in Caithness.

The incident began around 10.15 yesterday morning when a member of the public noticed tyre tracks leading to the edge of the South Pier at Wick.

The Harbour Authority called in divers and a vehicle was subsequently recovered from the harbour.

A body was found within and removed.

Inquiries are ongoing, but a police spokesperson said there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
