Crivens! Dungarees needed

Ali Baba, played by Benjamin Leitch, surrounded by Prince Tiny and his gang.

ANY OOR Wullies with a pair of dungarees to spare are urged to get in touch with Cupar Junior Opera Group.

The youngsters are appealing for six pairs of children’s denim dungarees for their next show. Tin Pan Ali is a modern version of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. It is set in 1930s Chicago and will be performed in the Cupar Corn Exchange from November 16 to 18.

One of the gangs in the show, the Tinies led by Prince Tiny, need to go undercover to search for the street sweeper Ali Baba, who has taken their loot.

Cupar Junior Opera Group’s Ruth Anderson said, “Our wardrobe mistress Ann Leitch desperately needs six pairs of denim dungarees to fit children between the ages of 12 and 14.

“The company wonders if there are any Oor Wullies who could loan us their dungarees for the duration of the show.”

Anyone who can help should call Ruth on 01334 652469.
