Saints delay decision on move for Polish trialists

THE TWO Polish trialists who spent last week with St Johnstone have returned to their club Legia Warsaw.

Dariusz Zjawinski and Marcin Smolinski, a striker and midfielder, played in a closed-doors game and Perth boss Owen Coyle may try to get them back to Perth for a second look at a later date.

He explained, “They flew home yesterday. We weren’t going to be able to make a decision on the basis of one closed-doors game because we have to be convinced they are better than what we already have here.

“Hopefully we might be able to get them back over in a few weeks’ time.”

Meanwhile, Mark Campbell returned to training yesterday and Coyle is looking to arrange a bounce game for the likes of Kieran McAnespie and Kevin Fotheringham to continue their recovery from injury.
