A MAN walked away from his car uninjured yesterday morning after colliding with a lamppost in Dundee. His vehicle is believed to have skidded and rolled on to its roof before crashing into the lamppost at the junction of Claverhouse Road and Barns of Claverhouse shortly after 8.30 am. The man, who is believed to be local, was travelling eastbound and was trapped in the car for approximately 15 minutes. Firefighters with a heavy rescue unit attended but discovered on their arrival that the man had already been helped to safety through the rear of the Ford Fiesta. Paramedics found the man had not suffered any serious injuries and treated him for shock. The road was reopened before 10 am. |
